Shims kit / muzzle device alignment set (1/2x28)

6315KM is the Dead Air sound suppressor Keymo mount of our 6315 (1/2x28) flash suppressor, compatible with .223 Dead Air sound suppressors with Keymo interface.

We are a big fan of the A2 flash suppressor / compensator (compensator is the Army TM 9-1005-319-23&P, Air Force TO 11W3-5-5-42, Navy SW370-BU-MMI-010 designation).  It is inexpensive, and does a decent job of what's asked of it.  We went through a phase of expensive and fancy brakes and comps, all of them have worked well but we know they're not practical for defense/duty ARs.  The flash, noise and concussion they produce are the result and byproduct of reducing the felt recoil (brakes) and keeping the muzzle down (comps).

Threaded for 1/2x28, precision machined from solid 4140 steel bar stock, heat treated and QPQ coated, it is probably the finest A2 style comp/flash suppressor ever produced.  Its 3 and 9 o'clock ports are 25% smaller (shorter and narrower) than the other three upward facing ports so more gas is vented through the upward facing ports, it is a superior compensator to the A2, its flash suppression is equal to that of an A2.  6315KM is compatible with Dead Air 5.56mm sound suppressors.  Note that since 6315KM does have flash suppression capability equal to that of an A2, it is to be treated as a flash suppressor for states that feel threatened by them, such as CA, MA and NY.

Since we now have more room in front of the 3 and 9 o'clock ports, we incorporated wire cutter alignment notches ahead of these ports.  The wire cutter notches will probably earn us some flak and endless ribbing about having to cut wires at the range while punching holes on paper, but we always design combat features into our products, they're there, you don't have to use them :)

6315KM is a light and short blended performance muzzle device.  It provides 15 to 20% better muzzle rise compensation than the A2, and what is impressive is that it does so without sacrificing its flash suppression capabilities, or creating more noise and concussion.

The number 63 in its name pays homage to the Stoner 63 light machine gun, the shape of its ports draws heavily from the Stoner 63 LMG's flash suppressor design. 6315KM is a part of Forward Controls' x15 muzzle device series.  KM denotes its Keymo Dead Air sound suppressor capability.

Proudly designed and made in USA.

* Machined in 4140, heat treated and QPQ coated.
* Length: 2.38"
* Weight: 3.97oz
* Drilled for pinning
* Recommended torque: 25ft lbs +/- 5

CAUTION!
We will no longer replace muzzle devices damaged from improper installation.

6315KM has wrench flats for torquing it on the barrel.  Do not use a screwdriver and insert it into one of its ports to torque it.  With 30ft lbs of torque, using a rod or screw driver will cause damage to the muzzle device.
JMW (Joint Muzzle device Wrench) was designed specifically for use on suppressor mounts: https://www.forwardcontrolsdesign.com/jmw-joint-muzzle-device-wrench.html

Screw driver not included (but seriously, use a 3/4 wrench, armorer's wrench, or JMW, not a screw driver.)

Mr
I bought this flash suppressor/ Dead Air mount for my Sandman S because I didn't truly like what is offered elsewhere. This product is top notch and works extremely well. I like it so much that I will be replacing the Dead Air muzzle bread that is currently on another rifle. I bought this with confidence after talking to Dead Air, where they told me they actually Endorse this product. Well done Forward controls!

Rad Muzzle Device
I normally use DA muzzle devices but wanted a little something different for a retroish build. Fit and finish is as good or better than DA. My Sandman locks up tight and true though not quite as tight as my DA devices but that's a good thing. After a few magazines the silencer was still tight but I could also unlatch it relatively easy as compared to having to wait for my DA ones to cool before I could take it off. Will definitely get more.

This is my new go-to for all of my 5.56 rifles and the one I recommend to friends/family looking for a KeyMo device. I love the A2 look paired with the KeyMo's solid suppressor mounting interface. Timed easily with an Accuwasher, suppressor alignment is perfect. These also come with a milled hole for a pin/weld job which is awesome. I regret not stumbling upon this product sooner. Would love to see more thread options for this like, perhaps, M15x1?

Fantastic Muzzle Device
Machining is top notch, and it's the most aesthetically pleasing A2 style flash hider I've seen. I'm still waiting on my Sandman S but I mounted a buddy's Nomad 30 on it, and it works great. I highly recommend this.

Very Impressed with FCD
This is my first product from FCD. The machining is immaculate. This will make a great mount once my Sandman-S is approved. Thanks y'all!

Couldn't be happier!
Quality product, nicely machined and finished. I really appreciate the fact the 1/2-28 flash hider is bored slightly larger than .30 cal as it allowed mounting my Hybrid to my M92 sbr via keymo rather than direct thread.
