NOTE: OPF-G43X/48, ACRO is designed for and only compatible with GLOCK G43x and G48, for use with Aimpoint P1, P2, and Steiner's MPS. It will not work with other GLOCK models, and not guaranteed to work with any Chinese made clones.
For law enforcement and users that require backup sights, BIS, 43X provides very low lower 1/5 co-witness. GL-808 is required for lower 1/4 co-witness, but the rear sight should be installed only after the OPF-43X/48, ACRO plate is installed first.
OPF-G43x/48, ACRO (Optics Platform, Forward Controls, G43x/48, ACRO) is the latest member of the OPF line. G43x and G48 MOS slides are designed for direct mounting of the Shield RMSc sight. P1/P2, and MPS is longer and wider, and requires an adapter plate which also necessarily raises the mounting surface in order to mount a P1/P2, or MPS.
The idea of using a "full size" RDS on a low vis, concealed carry pistol may seem odd at first. Trijicon's RMRcc is the same length, nearly as tall as an RMR but is narrower. ACRO P2 is itself slightly larger in size than an RMR, an ACRO P2 on a G43X/48 makes a lot of sense. P2's boxy size is deceiving, it's 0.1" longer, 0.1" wider, and 0.2" taller, these slight increases in dimensions would have been difficult to notice but for the ACRO P2's boxy shape.
For the slight dimensional increase, the user gets a full size window which to us, is more than an acceptable compromise.

OPF-G43X/48 ships with 2 plate to slide screws (M4-0.7mmx10mm), and a packet of VC-3.
OPF-G43X/48,
ACRO has a huge lightening cut, but it's invisible when the plate is
installed and in use. There's a vast (relatively speaking) area under the plate
that doesn't do anything except taking up weight and mass, so it's removed.
A torque wrench is required to properly torque the plate to slide, and sight to plate screws.
Torque value:
Plate to slide: 20 to 25 in·lb.
Sight to plate:
P1 and P2: 26 in·lb.
MPS: 20 in·lb.

For lower 1/5 co-witness, we recommend sight sets with at least 0.450" front, and 0.544" rear, the tip of the sights are low in the RMR's window, such as
BIS, 43x/48.
Note that BIS, 43X/48 are not tall enough for RMR HD and RCR.
GL-808 (0.500" front sight) is taller and also compatible, GL-808 is necessary for RMR HD and RCR. Be sure to install the plate first, and rear sight last.
