We think the standard A3 upper receiver is pretty
good, and hard to improve on (cosmetics don't count).
For URF-F (Upper Receiver, FCD, Forged), there is but a single functional change we wanted which differs from the TDP spec forged upper receiver. Specifically, URF-F has relief cuts/chamfers on the area above the charging handle (before 1913 rails start) for better accessibility of a
flip up BUIS's sight stalk / flip up element. In 2023, we also added another bevel in the rear.

NOTE: there is an overlap of the Centurion Arms made URF-F and 2023 late summer version. The major difference is the presence of anti-rotation pin hole for the latest URF-F for HDSI, SOLGW and ZEV handguards. There are two locations for anti-rotation pin holes, one is lower and closer to the gas tube pin hole (as found on HDSI, SOLGW, ZEV, and FN handguards, the other is slightly higher and closer to the top of the upper, this location is used by Centurion Arms (including RHF4 which is made by Centurion Arms for us), and Ripcord Industries handguards.
URF-F is based on TDP spec forged upper receiver, it's made and modified for Forward Controls. Type 3 hard
coated in black. Like TDP spec A3 upper receivers, URF-F can accommodate a forward assist, but does not come installed with one.
