OPF-SW, ACRO is only guaranteed to work with Aimpoint ACRO P1 and P2, and Steiner's MPS. We have not tested it with the cheap Chicom sights under different guises from various companies that purportedly use the ACRO footprint. We neither endorse, nor support their use on OPF-SW, ACRO. For defense and duty, we also do not recommend P2 clones/copies.
Factory sights are too low for OPF-SW, ACRO. If you need backup sights, we offer Night Fision sights
Precision machined in 4140 and black nitride coated, OPF-SW, ACRO is the latest collaboration between Tangodown and Forward Controls.
Continuing the tradition of reliable duty grade, precision machined steel optics interface plates in both companies' line up, OPF-SW, ACRO is made for Smith & Wesson M&P CORE 2.0 and M2.0 pistols.
For optics interface plates, things that matter: tolerances, material, and a means to keep the sight immobile, or deny it movement in recoil.
Tight tolerances reduce the plate's movement on the slide, and the sight's movement on the plate, but that alone sometimes isn't enough. For older sights like RMR that have fairly loose tolerances, the fences on our plate are designed to cradle it and hold it immobile. Newer sights like DPP and RMRcc don't need the fences, we still incorporate them whenever possible.
Material matters. For optics interface plates, Tangodown and we only use steel, all of our plates are military/duty grade.
Co-witnessing backup sights will be ready in a few weeks.
